Tafeku Specialty Steel lies at the heart of the Tafeku Knife Village. The best blacksmiths work hand in hand with metallurgists to push the boundaries of steel to meet the demands of discerning chefs. Years ago, they created SG2, also known as R2 Steel, and redefined Stainless Steel. The next evolution is VG-XEOS, a proprietary steel with a secret formula, promising premium stain resistance and a micro-grain structure while being easier to sharpen than the previous Gekko made of Hap40. Is this the answer back to Magnacut? The Kurosaki brothers are betting on this steel, and we look forward to seeing how this evolves!
