Description

Masakage Koishi Aogami Super Gyuto 180mm

Think of Masakage as a home for a host of talented blacksmiths, collectively acting under one roof and name. Founded in Echizen by Takayuki Shibata, a famed Japanese knife sharpener, Masakage includes various lines as unique as the blacksmiths who craft them. This collaboration ensures that every knife purchased from Masakage is a quality product from Echizen.

The Koishi line, one of Masakage's most popular, features knives forged by Kato San. Each knife boasts a core of Blue Super Steel (Aogami Super), enveloped in stainless cladding with a hammered (tsuchime) pattern and an attractive matte kurouchi finish. This combination yields a high-performance core steel with a high contrast hammer kurouchi finish, making any knife in this line a true visual stunner.

The 180mm Gyuto is a versatile size, perfect for both home cooks and professional chefs. It's compact yet capable, making it an essential tool in any kitchen.
